DWG CAD Viewer — Privacy Policy

DWG CAD Viewer is an offline-first CAD viewing application provided by Gowalk Inc. This policy explains what data the app handles, what limited information its service providers process, and the choices available to you.

Summary

Your DWG, DXF, DWT, DXB, STL, OBJ, PLY and 3MF files are parsed on your device.
The app does not upload drawing contents, markups or measurements to us.
No account is required.
The app contains no advertising SDK and does not use data for cross-app tracking.

Files and information kept on your device

The app copies files you import into its private document storage and maintains local library information such as the file name, relative path, format, size, favorites, and recent-open history. Preferences such as theme, canvas style, units and viewer options are also stored locally. Markups and measurements remain in the current viewer session unless you choose to export them.

The app sends a drawing, export or measurement file to another app only when you deliberately invoke the operating system share, print or export action. We do not receive those files.

Information processed by service providers

Analytics and app interactions

Firebase Analytics may process an app-instance or device identifier, approximate location derived from network information, product interactions and other usage events. Named events include app open, drawing open, tool use, export, paywall view, purchase and restore-purchase outcomes. Drawing contents and file names are not event parameters. We use this information to understand feature use and improve app reliability and functionality.

Crash and performance diagnostics

Firebase Crashlytics may process crash logs, stack traces, diagnostics, performance context, app version, operating system information and an app-instance or device identifier. This information is used to diagnose and fix crashes and performance defects.

Purchases

Apple App Store or Google Play Billing, together with Pomogator's purchase service, processes purchase history, product identifiers, transaction or entitlement status, and pseudonymous installation or device identifiers. This is necessary to offer weekly and yearly Pro subscriptions, validate access and restore purchases. We do not receive your full payment-card details.

Remote configuration and hosted purchase flow

Pomogator may retrieve remote configuration and present hosted onboarding or purchase information. It may process technical request data, an app-instance identifier and purchase entitlement information to provide those features.

Data categories

The app's store disclosures identify these categories: approximate location; device or app-instance identifiers; purchase history; product interactions and other usage data; crash data; performance data; and other diagnostic data. Purchase history is collected only if you interact with a store purchase. Other SDK data may be collected automatically while using the mobile app.

Except for purchase history, Apple disclosures treat these categories as linked to a pseudonymous app or device instance. None is used for tracking. Google Play disclosures state that this information is collected but not shared with other companies or organizations under Google Play's service-provider definition.

Information we do not collect

The app does not collect your name, email address, phone number, account credentials, precise GPS location, photos, videos, contacts, drawing contents, markups or measurements. It does not create an advertising profile, sell personal information or serve ads.

The core viewer does not require camera or precise-location access. If an operating-system picker or hosted flow offers optional media, camera or location functionality, access is requested by the platform at that moment and is subject to your permission choice.

Legal bases and purposes

Where applicable, processing is necessary to provide requested app and purchase functionality, to perform our legitimate interests in measuring and improving the app, and to maintain security and reliability. Where local law requires consent, the relevant platform or service flow presents that choice.

Retention

On-device files and preferences remain until you delete them, clear app data or uninstall the app. Analytics, diagnostic and purchase records are retained according to the applicable Firebase, Apple, Google and Pomogator retention settings and legal obligations. We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes described above.

Your choices and deletion requests

You can delete imported drawings from the app library, clear cached data in Settings, remove the app to erase its local storage, and manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple App Store or Google Play account.

We may need limited information to locate the relevant pseudonymous records. Some purchase records may need to be retained for fraud prevention, tax, accounting or other legal requirements.

Security and international processing

Network data is encrypted in transit using standard HTTPS/TLS. Service providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live. We rely on their contractual, organizational and technical safeguards for such transfers. No security method is completely risk-free.

Children

DWG CAD Viewer is a professional CAD tool and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information, submit a request using the support form above.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the app, its service providers or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top identifies the current version.
